Einmal Hallig und zurück

Andreas Grimm: The comedy thrives on the contrast between the sleek corporate world and the rough charm of the flatlands. The latter prevails in a story that blends an environmental thriller plot with an impossible love story. The film score takes the characters’ personal concerns seriously but supports the protagonist’s investigative efforts with a playful wink—old-school research, with a touch of Mr. Mancini, if he still could.
Gossip reporter Fanny Reitmeyer accidentally uncovers an environmental scandal and is sent to a remote Hallig for her own safety. There, she meets the grumpy bird warden Hagen Kluth, who takes care of endangered Arctic terns. At first, they clash, but when she reveals the true reason for her escape, an unexpected connection forms. Anke Engelke and Charly Hübner star in the leading roles, directed by Hermine Huntgeburth, with a screenplay by Chris Geletneky and Sascha Albrecht.
