The comedy show Schmitz komm raus! (Schmitz, Come Out! – a play on the German saying “Witz, komm raus, du bist umzingelt,” used when a joke is so bad you almost miss it.) aired on Sat.1 from 2005 to 2006 and was Ralf Schmitz’s first own TV format. The nine episodes combined stand-up, improvisation, physical comedy, and sketches. Known for his speed and audience interaction, Schmitz showcased his full range of talent, complemented by humorous pre-recorded segments. At the same time, he toured with the solo program of the same name, which sold out nationwide and established him as a key figure in German comedy.
