The show was based on the Canadian format <em>Kenny vs. Spenny<\/em> and aired on <em>ProSieben<\/em> from 2004 to 2012. In the first two seasons, each episode featured a single competition\u2014for example, who could stay awake the longest. Starting in the third season, several smaller contests were held in front of a live audience. The loser had to endure a punishment chosen by the winner at the end of each episode.
