Andreas Grimm: Being a film composer is no walk in the park. The score for the small but refined sitcom had already been written and approved. But when it came to the title music, there were plenty of opinions. The first little idea—a music box tune that wasn’t too childish—at least found its place in the score as the “Hemp Song.” Many drafts followed—until the broadcaster ultimately decided on something entirely different. No walk in the park, indeed.

The comedy series Kinder, Kinder aired on RTL in 2007 and comprised one season with nine episodes. Directed by Heinz Dietz and Tobi Baumann, it was produced by Ralf Günther. The story focused on sisters Katja (Dana Golombek), Claudia (Judith Pinnow), and Jessica (Carolin Kebekus), each living in different family situations. The series combined sitcom elements with social observation and appealed to a broad audience.
