Anke – Die Sitcom

Andreas Grimm: In this piece, Anke herself says what it’s all about—she wants to be happy, she just doesn’t know how yet. Title themes with vocals are rather rare. Those that don’t metaphorically hint at the content but instead let the protagonist voice their own lament are even rarer.

The series is set behind the scenes of the fictional talk show ANKE. Host Anke (Anke Engelke) is confident on camera but plagued by misfortune in her private life.
